Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, has confirmed that the swap deal involving Blaugrana striker Samuel Eto'o and Inter forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is imminent, saying that negotiations for Ibrahimovic are "at a good stage" and "there is an agreement in principle with Inter".

He also noted that he has spoken with Eto'o, adding that, for the striker, his future "is not about the money".

"The signing of Ibrahimovic depends on the player himself, Samuel Eto'o and all the involved parties," he told Mundo Deportivo.

Laporta insisted that the club have not given up on the capture of Valencia's David Villa, saying, "The signing of David Villa is not ruled out. We have not ruled out any of the open possibilities."

The Catalan club chairman added that signing Ibrahimovic will cost the club 45 million, Samuel Eto'o and the loan of Hleb.

Meanwhile, Mino Raiola, who represents both Maxwell and Ibrahimovic, has stated that the Sweden international has not signed for Barcelona as yet.
