According to a report in British tabloid newspaper The Sun, Premier League club Portsmouth are set to replace manager Tony Adams with former Chelsea boss Avram Grant.
Apparently, the Pompey board have been less than impressed with Adams' record since taking over from Harry Redknapp in October 2008, with the south coast club winning just twice in 15 fixtures.
It is claimed that the 42-year-old former England captain will not hand in his resignation at Fratton Park; therefore, the club will sack him.
It is alleged that Avram Grant will take over as he is a friend of owner Alexandre Gaydamak and knows the club well from his time as director of football between June 2006 and July 2007.
It is reported that Portsmouth will wait until Tony Adams has overseen potential transfer arrivals before making the managerial switch |
