Everybody at United has a great desire to win the Premiership title this season. In order to do that we know what we have to do - it's plain to see that we need to keep winning.
We are all enjoying playing and we enjoy the pressure of maintaining our good form. We have given good performances all season, and as a result that has given us great confidence to continue playing well and winning. We expect pressure on us in every game between now and the end of the season, but rather than let that bother us, we are ready for it and just try our best in each game.
We have the confidence to know that we can win every game. When I won the Dutch league title with PSV Eindhoven it was a similar situation. Having to win every game isn't a burden. We just tried to do our best and we got great results from that. We remembered what we had done before in previous games to get us in that position, and we knew what we needed to do.
So we tried to enjoy each game, and in the end we won the title. We also did particularly well in the Champions League in my final season in Holland, but were beaten by AC Milan in the semi-finals. They were a bigger team than us, but we had great tactics. We weren't afraid of losing and were very close to getting a positive result. Of course it was very disappointing not to win, but until we'd reached that stage we did extremely well in each game and that part I was delighted with.
I’d love to go a stage further with United, and this season I think that’s a realistic expectation. If United win then nobody thinks it's down to luck, it's down to ability.
One of the main reasons for that is the great team spirit among the squad this season, and personally I am delighted to be able to play my part. I was frustrated earlier in the season after being injured, but I feel I am contributing again now and I am happy with that. We have a great chance of success this season.
