David Silva's agent, Julio Llorente, has reportedly been at the Bernabeu this morning to discuss a contract with Real Madrid for the Valencia winger.
The Spanish international is widely expected to leave the Mestalla this year with Madrid or Liverpool thought to be his likely destination.
AS reports that Llorente was in Spain and not England today though as he met with Madrid sports director to discuss a salary for Silva.
It is claimed that the meeting went on for around an hour and a half, and they also spoke about the sporting expectations of the winger.
With regards to the price of the deal, Madrid are expecting to pay around 20 million to secure the signature of the Spanish international.
As well as Silva, the capital club appear to be on the verge of signing Kaka, and are reportedly in the market for Franck Ribery and Cristiano Ronaldo too.
Nevertheless, Madrid know that Valencia will not make a decision about Silva for at least another three days, when they are holding a shareholders meeting.
After that, the situation of both Silva and David Villa could become clearer, and one of them could well be off to the capital.

Atletico Madrid have confirmed that coach, Abel Resino will stay on at the helm next season after successfully guiding the team to a fourth place finish in the Primera Division.
A statement on the club’s official website read: “On Thursday June 4, Atletico Madrid’s Executive Committee have accepted the proposal of sporting director, Jesus Garcia Pitarch, to retain Abel Resino as the coach of Club Atletico de Madrid S.A.D.
“Therefore, the Committee has given their approval for the sports director to negotiate contract terms with the coach.”
Although no details of the contract extension were provided, club president, Enrique Cerezo later went on Cadena SER programme, ‘El Larguero’ to elaborated on the agreement.
“We have accepted Abel’s extension for one more season,” he said. “The sporting director has made a great argument before the committee and we are all in agreement and we have accepted the decision unanimously.
“Nobody at the club ever doubted that he was the coach for us because he has had a magnificent end to the season while playing good football.
“We have defended Abel and we will always defend Abel,” he roared, before going on to dispel rumours that the club had spoken with ex-Real Madrid trainer, Juande Ramos.
Resino and Atleti are expected to resume training for the new campaign on July 11 in preparation for the Champions League qualifying round.
