I have read some posts from irfanst and I found some information there about the bump, he was helped by your team so I thought that I was doing it right. Anyway I have registered on modding way and now we will see, you'll have my answers soon

Sorry, for replying so late, but I didn't see the post. I know this tutorial, have reat it a thousand times, but this only explains the RGB channels of a bump and not how to which format to use when saving the bump, etc. Or am I wrong?

So if I understand, I have to save the bump as a *.dds normal map and then open it, focus on different RGB channels and save those channels as a new layer

Nevermind :-), I thought that you save the texture as a normal map, then you open the texture, in the right sidebar in PS you can see the texture in different channels (Red only, Green only, Blue only), like in the post you gave me about the bump, and I meant that when you open for example only the Red channel of the texture and you have the option to duplicate the channel to a new texture and save the red channel texture only, but I have found out that when you try to save it, PS gives an error saying that it's not a RGB texture

Listen this is the closest thing to the bump that I have made, I have made separate layers of all parts of the boot in PS with Bevel and Emboss, then I have assembled them into a 1024X512 texture, at the end I save the texture as a D3D/DDS like this



and Normal Map settings like this



Now can you tell me where I have failed?

the bump of the lace is not correct.

saks07 Boots the biggest mistake is the heel.

Your Bump looks extremely queer. I don't know why.

I have come up with something, I open the texture that I have created with bevel and emboss, then in the channels menu, of PS, I click create a new channel and a new channel appears, near RGB channels, called Alpha, so I have copied the RGB texture into the Alpha channel, then I choose channel options and there I choose color indicates (Masked areas, Selected areas, Spot Color), in the color area the opacity is set to 50% and I choose a grey color, apply the options, save the image as a TIFF format and in the end I convert it to a PNG File. Please tell me that this is it, at least close
