Raúl recognised for his 13 years of service to Real Madrid
Raúl González Blanco received a commemorative plaquefrom President Ramón Calderón in recognition of his 13 years of serviceto Real Madrid.
It seems like yesterday when Jorge Valdano gave RaúlGonzález Blanco his debut in La Romareda on 29 October 1994. In amatter of months, the forward made his way from Real Madrid's youthsystem to the First Team, the squad he has played a total of 460 Leaguematches with. On his Saint's Day last month, Raúl scored against Deportivo to leadhis team to victory. Today, the day the Club presented him with acommemorative plaque, he celebrated another victory over RacingSantander, a team that had only conceded nine goals before landing inthe Spanish capital.

Of Real Madrid's two goals tonight, Raúl was responsible for two. Thefirst found the back of the net just four minutes after the initialwhistle. To cap off the brace, the captain struck gold off abrilliantly struck free kick. With two more goals under his belt, Raúlpulled into a three-way tie with Luis Fabiano and Messi for Pichichi honours.Once Saturday's match ended, the Club rewarded his 13 years of serviceto Real Madrid with a commemorative plaque presented by President RamónCalderón.
