PROFILE
Highly-rated central defender and product of the prolific Wolves Academy joined Everton for an undisclosed fee in June 2006 following a lengthy pursuit. The England Youth and Under-21 international was a mainstay of the Wolves back four from 2000 until 2003 and his impressive season during the 2002/2003 promotion campaign led to a deserved place in the PFA Division One team of the year. Suffered a knee injury which forced him to miss the entire 2003/04 term - Wolves' only season in the Premier League - but he recovered to play 50 games in league and cup for the Molineux side in 2005/2006.
