E se fosse Andrei Arshavin, dello Zenit San Pietroburgo, l'alternativa a Adrian Mutu? E' presto per dirlo, ma qualcosa si sta muovendo. Significative, in questo senso, le parole di Dennis Lachter, agente del talento russo, a Firenzeviola.it: "Effettivamente, al di là dei nomi precedentemente fatti - dice il procuratore - negli ultimi giorni una nuova società italiana, che parteciperà alla Champions League, si è fatta avanti. Farà i preliminari? Non posso aggiungere altro....è comunque una squadra non menzionata fino a qualche tempo fa". Difficile pensare a Juventus o Inter, già abbondantemente coperte nel ruolo. Restano, dunque, Roma e Fiorentina con il club giallorosso favorito. Il motivo? Presto detto: Arshavin in Russia percepisce uno stipendio di circa 3 milioni di euro netti a stagione, cifra che il club viola non potrebbe mai raggiungere per il noto tetto degli ingaggi fissato massimo a 2 milioni. Cifra, invece, alla portata della Roma che ha sì il tetto degli ingaggi a 2,5 milioni, ma con l'inserimento dei famosi premi può superare i 3 milioni. Si vedrà, intanto Pradè è al lavoro.

Pasqualin Still Confident Over Mutu - Roma Switch
Serie A football agent, Claudio Pasqualin, still believes Adrian Mutu has every chance of joining Roma despite Fiorentina insisting the striker is not for sale
The Romanian international has been linked to the Giallorossi ever since La Viola signed Alberto Gilardino from Milan.
The transfer saga has taken several twists and turns and it has been a case of hit and miss for both clubs but it seems as if Roma still have a chance of scoring their Mutu goal according to Pasqualin.
“The situation can still change but it’s likely that the Della Valle will hold firm,” Pasqualin told Tuttomercatoweb.
“I thought things were different and I may have made a mistake but nothing is yet concrete.
“We have to wait and see what happens now.
“I didn’t expect the Viola to make such a U-turn as Corvino was certain the player could leave.”
It seemed as if Mutu was on the verge of signing for Roma when Pantaleo Corvino revealed he was ready to listen to Roma’s offer only for the Artemio Franchi based club to go back on their words and eat some humble pie.

官方消息：布里吉续约至2012年
当地时间2008年7月25日，罗马俱乐部在自己的官方网站上发布公告，宣布同中场布里吉续约四年，新合同将在2012年6月30日到期。

Roma To Hunt Klaas-Jan?
After seeing his attempted £16million capture of Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu thwarted, Roma manager Luciano Spalletti may instead pursue the signature of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from Ajax.
With Mutu’s future likely to be at La Viola for the time being, Roma are set to look elsewhere for a much required front-man. The Giallorossi are determined to land a striker in this transfer window, with the side light on cover up front.
Juio Baptista of Real Madrid has caught the attentions of Spalletti and was rumoured to be on the verge of a transfer to the Stadio Olimpico. However, the Roma manager sees the Brazilian primarily as a midfielder, rather than a forward.
Instead, it could be Klaas-Jan Huntelaar who makes the move to the Serie A runners-up, with Spalletti coy on his transfer plans.
He admitted defeat in the battle for Mutu, but insisted that Roma still have other irons in the fire.
He told Tuttomercatoweb: “I think the Mutu negotiations are over. The club can’t be blamed if he doesn’t come but it does look like we will have to look elsewhere. But we will stay calm and consider things carefully. We are looking for two players because the squad isn’t complete as it is.
“I haven’t even spoken about Julio Baptista. He is a good player but we are fine in midfield. Huntelaar is a very good player but we will have to see and there will be no panic buys.”
